Due to the development of COVID-19 all around the world, including in Indonesia, the Directorate General of Immigration in Indonesia temporarily ban entry to the Republic of Indonesia for foreign citizens. Read the official notification below:
For foreigners who intend to enter the Indonesian territory. Temporarely prohibited for all foreigners from entering/transiting within the territory of the Republic of indonesia, except for :
- Foreigners who hold Indonesian temporary stay permit (KITAS) or permanent stay permit (KITAP)
- Foreigners who hold Indonesian Diplomatic Visa or Service Visa
- Foreigners who hold Indonesian Diplomatic Stay Permit or Service Stay Permit
- Medical, food and humanitarian aid support workers
- The crew of means of transport
- People who's travel is associated with essentiel work for national strategic projects such as infrastructure or constructions
Foreigners who get an exception to enter Indonesian territory must provide following requirements:
- Certificate of health (in English) issued by their local government's health authority
- The foreigner must have stayed for 14 days in areas which are not affected by COVID-19 outbreak before entering, evidence by an immigration stamp or boarding pass,
- statement of whillingness to enter quarantine for 14 days in facilities provided by the Indonesian government
For foreigners who stay in Indonesia:
- Foreigners who hold a Visitor Stay Permit (from B211/121 Visas or Visas on Arrival, Visa Exemption) that has expired and/or can't be extended will be granted an Emergency Stay Permit for Rp0 automatically by the system without applying to the immigration office
- Foreigners who hold a Temporary Stay Permit or Permanent Stay Permit that has expired and/or can't be extended, their stay permit will be deffered and granted an Emergency Stay Permit for Rp0 automatically by the system without applying to the immigration office
This regulation entered into force on 2 April 2020 until further notice.
